Lyric Stage presents the world premiere of this historic Texas tale told through the words and music of Grammy Award winner Larry Gatlin. “Quanah” is the musical journey of the Comanche chief Quanah Parker and his mother Cynthia Ann Parker, who was kidnapped as a girl and raised by the Comanches as one of their own.

This free event will include activities and interactive displays on trees, nature and the outdoors. Attendees can enjoy live music, a question-and-answer session with tree experts, several tree-related vendors and continuous drawings for free trees. Children can learn how to climb a tree, watch and participate in a snake encounters show and enjoy a tree house slide.
