    Join us for an evening of entertainment as Irving’s best musicians, dancers and other performers compete in this annual teen talent competition.   1. Great Backyard Bird Count (self-guided)

    February 17, 2017, 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM @ Locations and reporting will be independent of the City of Irving and will be selected by the participant.

    Individuals are encouraged to join this national effort to collect information about bird species in the north central Texas region. By participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count, citizens become a part of creating a real-time snapshot of where birds are located across the continent.

    Why count birds? Scientists and bird enthusiasts can learn a lot by knowing where the birds are. Bird populations are dynamic; they are constantly in flux. For more information about the national effort and to register, visit www.birdsource.org/gbbc.
