Holiday Parade Entry Application

  1. Entry form due no later than Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017. The entire application must be completed before submission.

    Participants are required to attend mandatory parade meeting 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 in the Irving City Hall, Council Chambers, 825 W. Irving Blvd.

    Create a parade version of your favorite Christmas movies* or beloved holiday song. Participants are encouraged to take the creative challenge to decorate floats and/or dress in costume, in order to bring to life a beloved holiday music theme or theatrical adaptation. Some traditional holiday story favorites include “A Christmas Story,” “Miracle on 34th Street,” “It's a Wonderful Life,” "Muppet Christmas Carol" and “Christmas Vacation.” Parade participants may illustrate characters in the movies or the overall theme of the story. Some popular holiday songs include "White Christmas," "Frosty the Snowman," "Jingle Bell Rock" and "12 Days of Christmas."

    The City of Irving will feature the only Santa Claus character in the parade procession. Entries without current, signed parade waivers will not be permitted in the parade.
