Summer Reading - Teens

Teens in grades 6-12 will "Rock Out" this summer by reading, attending rock-themed programs and meeting jamming Young Adult authors.

The Reading Challenge

Now's the opportunity to put away your school work and dig into books you'll love!  This year's program runs from June 1 until August 15 (or until all prizes are given out).

Step 1
Pick up a paper reading log at any of our four locations, or try out the online reading log ReadSquared.

Step 2
Log every hour you read. You can also get credit for reading an hour by attending a teen program at the library.

Step 3

After five hours of reading, stop by any library location and show us your log to pick up a prize! If you're using ReadSquared, we'll look you up. Then you'll get a prize!

Prizes
Choose from a free book or a coupon to a local restaurant. Supplies are limited.

Limitations

Read as much as you want, but we can only accept one completed log per week.

Bonus!
Every badge earned or log turned it doubles as an entry into a drawing to win an iPad Mini tablet. Logs must be turned in by July 31 to be eligible for the drawing.  Earned prizes subject to availability.
